BETHEVOICE

BE THE VOICE of your Gen on the GC is an annual youth music showcase at the Broadwater Parklands in SPRING.

BeTheVoice is a community music event on the Gold Coast that gives young musicians the opportunity to showcase their talent in such an exciting environment. Entries are open to SCHOOL CHILDREN, only.

In 2012, the event brought together an eclectic mix of musicians and, event coordinator, Al Buchan said these kinds of events help to ensure future generations have the opportunity to enjoy and participate in the important part of Australian Culture which is music.

Local Member for Southport, MP ROB MOLHOEK was there to lend his support for the musicians aged 7-17years. “There are so many young artists who have the potential to be the next Justin Bieber or Taylor Swift but they are not being heard,” said Mr Molhoek.

“Be the Voice gives these young kids the opportunity to perform in front a large audience and who knows, maybe this event will be their stepping stone to stardom.”

Entries are open to school children of any age.

IMPORTANT.  Performers must showcase an original piece of music. All specialist equipment such as leads, power boards, connecting cables and instruments such as keyboard, trombone, saxophone, clarinet, harp etc must be supplied by the musician/entrant.

ENTRIES WILL REOPEN IN 2013
