fRETFEST is now looking for talent in the GYMPIE area!

This could be your chance to be DISCOVERED, just like Pete Murray, Jac Stone, Andrew Redford and so many other great musicians from around Southeast Queensland.

Pete Murray said "Fretfest was one of my earliest gigs and it gave me the opportunity to play my original music to an appreciative crowd" March 2006. Jac Stone joined Fretfest in 2008 and she added her song "2 Rivers" to the BEST Of 2008 fRETfEST complation Cd. She went on to perform at Woodford Folk festival (with fRETfEST) in 2008 and 2009 and, in those early years, she played just about every Fretfest gig going! Andrew Redford joined Fretfest in 2009 and he added his song "City" to the BEST OF 2009 fRETfEST compilation Cd before winning The Billy Thorpe Schollarship in 2010 and then going on to win Telstra's Road To Discovery in 2012.

fRETfEST offers opportunities to get up on stage at professional SHOWCASE gigs, by joining the mentorship program and performing your own songs in front of appreciative audiences across Southeast Queensland. Learn and play alongside other awesome musicians who are kick-starting their independent music career, now, as Solo Singer Songwriters, with fRETfEST.
